Shooting spree in Malaysia

The recent spate of shooting spree in Malaysia really caught everyone by surprise. The frequency, the brutality is far far out of everyone's expectation. Not that it never happened before, but those were few and far in between, often being the result of quarrels or sometimes between the Police and criminals. Malaysians are not used to killers coolly walking up to the unsuspecting victims and shot them at close range in cold blood.
In just 5 months this year, more than 32 cases are reported, more than the grand total of several years in the past.

Below is the list of shootings in the past few months:

It seems that the criminals are rushing to do their shootings before the Police force are awaken from their day dreaming.

The biggest joke is that the IGP said,"It is not that the nation has become unsafe, it is just that many gun-shooting incidences happening at the same time." Come on, a traffic jam is a traffic jam.Don't say," it just happened many cars are on the road at the same time." A war is a war, don't say,"Just that many bombs, cannons, guns are fired at the same time."

I think this is one of the contributing factors that the BN lose the hearts of urban voters.Coupled with the never ending "ragot" cases, house break-ins,the urban voters decided that the government is not doing what they are supposed to do, that is: give them a safe enviroment to seek employment, to live in, to shop, to dine, to go out with family. They think these things are far more important than the government's grand grand manifestors and visions.

It is a pity that our Prime Minister does not see this, instead he blamed the drop in supports on the "Chinese Tsunami". It is the urban voters aganist the rural voters, not the Chinese voters against the Malays voters, it just so happened that most Chinese voters are corwded at the urban areas. If he can not see this and retify it, don't be surprised that the urban voters will desert him again in the next general election.
